Founded in Havana in 1882, El Rey del Mundo is one of the cigar world's oldest and most respected names. Today, the non-Cuban line continues that legacy with handcrafted Honduran cigars that combine traditional craftsmanship with premium tobaccos from Central America's finest growing regions. The Appointment Brazil Robusto showcases the brand's modern approach while honoring its rich heritage. This Robusto features a dark Brazilian Arapiraca wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and Nicaraguan long-fillers. The Brazilian wrapper adds natural sweetness and depth, while the Nicaraguan tobaccos provide balance and complexity. Expect rich flavors of espresso, dark cocoa, roasted nuts, cedar, and earth, accented by touches of black pepper and molasses that become more noticeable as the cigar develops. Medium to full-bodied, it delivers a satisfying smoking experience without overwhelming the palate. A dark roast coffee is an ideal pairing, bringing out the cigar's chocolate and espresso notes while complementing its earthy richness. Whether enjoyed as a morning indulgence or an after-dinner smoke, the Appointment Brazil Robusto offers timeless craftsmanship with a bold yet approachable flavor profile.

Honduras has been a tobacco growing and cigar manufacturing area for hundreds of years, but it was the Communist revolution in Cuba that really put Honduras on the map. In the 1960s, many Cuban cigar makers fled their homeland and arrived in Honduras to re-establish their way of life. The immigrants took advantage of the climate, soil, and geography, which were well-suited to tobacco growing, and began producing high quality cigars. The center of the Honduran cigar industry is the city of Danli and the nearby Jamastran Valley. The majority of the world’s pure Corojo tobacco is grown here, now that Cuba has stopped production of this iconic, spicy, and rich variety in favor of Corojo hybrids. Other important areas of Honduran cigar production include the Talanga Valley, Copan, and Trojes.
