The Dark Shark Toro is a modern Honduran-crafted cigar that showcases the bold, satisfying character of Nicaraguan tobacco beneath a rich Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper. Designed to deliver plenty of flavor without overwhelming strength, it strikes a comfortable balance between richness and smoothness, making it an enjoyable choice for smokers of all experience levels. Inside, a Nicaraguan binder surrounds premium Nicaraguan long-fillers that provide depth and complexity throughout the smoke. The Broadleaf wrapper contributes notes of dark chocolate, espresso, earth, and subtle molasses sweetness, while the Nicaraguan tobaccos introduce cedar, roasted coffee, black pepper, and a touch of spice. Medium-bodied and well-balanced, the Toro format allows the flavors to evolve gradually while maintaining a creamy texture and clean finish. The recommended pairing of Left Hand Brewing Co. Nitro Milk Stout couldn't be more fitting. The beer's velvety texture, roasted malt, chocolate, and coffee flavors mirror the cigar's rich profile while its creamy finish smooths out the subtle spice. Together they create a decadent, dessert-like pairing that's perfect after dinner or whenever you're ready to slow down and savor a flavorful smoking experience.

Honduras has been a tobacco growing and cigar manufacturing area for hundreds of years, but it was the Communist revolution in Cuba that really put Honduras on the map. In the 1960s, many Cuban cigar makers fled their homeland and arrived in Honduras to re-establish their way of life. The immigrants took advantage of the climate, soil, and geography, which were well-suited to tobacco growing, and began producing high quality cigars. The center of the Honduran cigar industry is the city of Danli and the nearby Jamastran Valley. The majority of the world’s pure Corojo tobacco is grown here, now that Cuba has stopped production of this iconic, spicy, and rich variety in favor of Corojo hybrids. Other important areas of Honduran cigar production include the Talanga Valley, Copan, and Trojes.
