Chillin’ Moose Too is a bold follow-up to the original Chillin’ Moose, offering a richer and more robust profile while maintaining the brand’s reputation for value. Produced in Nicaragua, this cigar features a dark Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and filler, creating a fully Nicaraguan core beneath its hearty exterior. Medium-bodied and flavor-forward, Chillin’ Moose Too opens with notes of cocoa, sweet cedar, and a touch of natural sweetness. As the cigar develops, layers of vanilla, light spice, and earthy richness come into play, delivering a well-rounded and satisfying smoking experience. The broadleaf wrapper contributes a slightly sweet, smoky character, while the Nicaraguan tobaccos provide structure and depth. Its burn is consistent, and the draw is smooth, making it an easy cigar to enjoy from start to finish. This cigar pairs exceptionally well with a bold beverage like Alesmith Speedway Stout, whose rich coffee and chocolate notes mirror and enhance the cigar’s cocoa and sweetness. With a strong panel rating of 92, Chillin’ Moose Too has earned recognition for delivering quality and flavor at an accessible price point. It’s a dependable, everyday cigar that doesn’t sacrifice depth, making it a favorite among both casual and experienced smokers.
The Nicaraguan cigar industry originated when Cuban cigar makers escaped the revolution and re-established their livelihood in Nicaragua with Cuban-seed tobacco. Blessed with dark, rich soil, their new home was ideal for tobacco cultivation and Nicaragua quickly became known for cigars that rivaled Cuban quality. Unfortunately, revolution and war came to Nicaragua in the 1980s and devastated the industry, but it’s rebounded dramatically and is once again producing tobacco considered by many to be the finest in the world.
The Esteli Valley is in many ways the heart of Nicaraguan production and is known for its very powerful and spicy tobacco. The Jalapa Valley produces arguably the finest tobacco in the country: somewhat sweeter and less intense than Esteli, but extremely complex. The tobacco of the Condega Valley is often described as a blend of the other two regions.
