Camacho Broadleaf Toro exemplifies the brand’s long-standing reputation for producing full-bodied, full-flavored cigars rooted in Honduran expertise. Crafted under the Davidoff of Geneva portfolio, Camacho blends are known for power balanced by precision, a philosophy evident in this commanding toro. The cigar features a dark, oily Honduran Broadleaf wrapper over a Honduran binder, with fillers from Honduras and the Dominican Republic. This robust construction delivers strength, depth, and extended smoking time.

From the first draw, flavors of dark chocolate and espresso dominate, supported by leather, oak, and a firm pepper presence. As the cigar develops, creamy sweetness emerges, rounding out the bold profile and preventing heaviness. The toro format allows the blend’s complexity to unfold slowly, maintaining balance from start to finish. Full in strength yet controlled, this cigar is a showcase of Camacho’s signature intensity. It pairs beautifully with a crisp Sauvignon Blanc, such as Larkmead’s Lillie, whose brightness cuts through the cigar’s richness and refreshes the palate between draws.

Honduras has been a tobacco growing and cigar manufacturing area for hundreds of years, but it was the Communist revolution in Cuba that really put Honduras on the map. In the 1960s, many Cuban cigar makers fled their homeland and arrived in Honduras to re-establish their way of life. The immigrants took advantage of the climate, soil, and geography, which were well-suited to tobacco growing, and began producing high quality cigars. The center of the Honduran cigar industry is the city of Danli and the nearby Jamastran Valley. The majority of the world’s pure Corojo tobacco is grown here, now that Cuba has stopped production of this iconic, spicy, and rich variety in favor of Corojo hybrids. Other important areas of Honduran cigar production include the Talanga Valley, Copan, and Trojes.
