This is how you smoke 'em Monica!b
This is a photo from our honeymoon in Aruba. My wife Kristi is showing
off her smokin' form with one of my club stogies. We were in
a killer cigar bar awaiting our table in the steakhouse next door.
Life is good.....I found a chick that can enjoy a drink and a smoke,
and five fine cigars appear at my doorstep each month like magic!
Thanks cigar dudes!

Don Tomas offers a combination of choice fillers and consistently superb construction. Mild, mellow and smooth, these Honduran-made premiums offer simply the best of what's available. The special edition run of the Tubos size was crafted with ultra smooth, golden brown Connecticut shade wrappers and long-filler Dominican and Honduran tobaccos. We found the roll firm but offering an excellent draw and tons of smoke volume. Note a very pleasant aroma and even burn in this medium-to-full-bodied smoke. Look for a savory balance of spice, cedar and other aromatic woods in the well-blended flavor profile. This smoke burns a bit quick but delivers consistently on every draw and presents a stable peppery bite in the finish. Would go absolutely great with a peppery 100% Blue Agave Tequila such as Petrone Reposado or Cuervo Tradicional.
Individually wrapped in cedar, the Don Lino Havana Reserves are
rolled in the most pres-tigious factory in the Dominican Republicthe
La Aurora factory. One of the finest Don Lino lines is their Havana
Reserve series. This impec-cable line is handmade with an ultra
attractive dark Connecticut broadleaf maduro wrapper, Dominican
long leaf filler and Dominican binders. As with most maduros, the
most impacting feature is its wrapper, a double-aged leaf that creates
a mild-to-medium-bodied flavor and a pleasant, smooth smoke. Expect
what we expected from this fine cigar- a calming and maintenance
free smoking experience. Con-struction is flawless, from appearance
to density to weight in hand. Look for a smoothly cool draw that
delivers ample spice flavors with notes of clove-like sweetness
intermingling with hints of cream and, interestingly, cider. This
cigar gives off a huge, billowy smoke volume and leaves a long-lingering
spice on the back of the tongue. A few of our panel members enhanced
their smoking experience by pairing this maduro with a heavily hopped
India Pale Ale and raved about the combination.
Perdomo 2 Ecuacion Maduro Robusto
Certainly among the best additions to their line, Perdomo 2 (Perdomo squared) is made by Nick Perdomo at Tabacalera Perdomo in Esteli, Nicar-agua. The creation of Perdomo 2 cigars is another winner for Tabacalera Perdomo; this factory's lineup includes an already astounding array of top-quality brands. Just to name a few, these brands include Perdomo Reserve, Cuban Parejo, CAO, The Cigar, and many more. Each cigar is box-pressed with a select blend of Piloto Cubano Nicaraguan leaves aged in cedar casks for over 5 years. This cigar is for the true connoisseur who appreciates unparal-leled construction and exceptional tobacco flavor. The Cameroon wrappera rare, double-fermented, moist and oily leaf will beckon you to enjoy this smoke as soon as you lay eyes upon it. This is an absolutely gorgeous deep dark maduro of incom-parable quality. We found it to be spicy and peppery in flavor with a fantastic draw. Note that the flavor is rather complex, also offering a subtle earthy creaminess. Expect a medium-to-full-body from this one with a lingering pepper aftertaste and mellow leathery notes that leave a soft feel on the palate and a mild bite on the tongue. This is such a fine cigar, with variegated and complex flavors that will pair nicely with anything from a malty Strong Ale, Cognac or even a fruity rose wine.
You're going to love this Petrus Antionius Torpedo! This appealing Natural shade cigar is a contrast to the dark maduros we've sent you this month, but every bit as enjoyable. The first thing you should notice about this smoke is the weightdespite the smaller stature of this torpedo, it's rather heavya result of being absolutely packed with long filler tobacco leaves. As a consequence, this is a slow steady burner and will give you ample smoking time to experience the full range of its flavors. It starts off with a straight-forward peppery flavor we found simple and smooth. On the back half of the burn however, this heavyweight develops additional flavors and a more complex finish. Notice how the aftertaste begins peppery, moves more toward a smooth creamy finish, and finally ends with a bitter bite that jumps across the tongue. Look for an even burn throughout the smoke, yielding a solid, gray-tan conical ash. This is a solid smoke that starts deceptively simple but takes on new life with every draw. Enjoy it with your favorite single malt Scotch.
Series 55 Sun-Grown by Victor Sinclair
Churchill
The Victor Sinclair Series 55 is simply superb. This exquisite
smoke utilizes a five country blend and an extensive five year aging
process, hence the name 55. This line has three varieties, a Red
(corojo), Blue (maduro) and Green Label (sun-grown), which is what
we've sent you this month. This is the rarest of the three,
utilizing a strong Sun-Grown leaf that contributes spice to the
flavor. Immediately note a nice oily sheen on this beautiful leather-like
wrapper. Look for an excellent draw on this well made Churchill
and note the big full rich spicy flavors accented by a smooth and
well-rounded tobacco taste. Expect a lighter bodied texture yet
with ample tobacco intensity and a moderate smoke volume. A pairing
with a Tawny Port will make a stylish and sophisticated complement.
